Pilot shop jobs for TitanFall 2 pilots will be coming to Alaska, the state where the game’s lead developer is based.
According to a press release sent out by the state Department of Commerce, the pilot shop is being created by the Alaska Pilots Association, which is tasked with training and supporting pilots in Alaska.
The job listings will be available on the association’s website and can be viewed via a QR code that the association has put together.
The association has been looking for pilots for the game and the jobs are a part of the process, said spokesperson Matt LeCarre, but it’s also a bit of a “big deal”.
“The association wants to support the game industry and help them grow, but they’re also interested in getting their pilots in the game,” he said.
The Alaska Pilot Association’s role in the pilot store is not new, but the organisation is in a unique position to get involved in the development of a new game and to work with a game studio.
“They’re an important part of our community and their role is not to get them to play Titanfall or whatever, but to get their skills to go into the game development,” LeCare said.
“It’s an important thing to them.
They’re working with the game studio on some things, so we’re happy to help.”
Titanfall developer Respawn is looking to bring its own pilot shop to Alaska to expand its base of pilots, which the company said were already in place in the state.
